Mindfulness & Awareness Skills

In addition to his skills and experience teaching about herbalism and holistic health, Chris Marano also has decades of training and experience teaching meditation, mindfulness and awareness skills to individuals and groups.

Individual seminars and classes suitable for corporations, businesses, private groups, educational institutions (schools, colleges, libraries), health institutions (health centers, spas, and clinics, health stores and cooperatives, senior centers), health conferences and festivals.

Awareness, Breath and Body: Innate Tools for Helping and Healing Ourselves

Everything we need to stay centered, calm, clear and effective lay within us. These workshops explore and explain techniques utilizing perceptions, visualization, breathing, language, and simple exercises that help us reclaim and maintain greater health, clearer mind, calmer emotions, resiliency, rejuvenation, balance, a positive outlook and a mind of gratitude and compassion. These innate tools can help us feel and become more integrated within ourselves and more connected to everything around us – other people, our daily routine, and the word at large. Chris Marano draws upon his experience, study and practice in modern and traditional healing systems to adapt techniques and concepts that help us in our daily lives.

Class Offerings: (classes may be combined and tailored to meet the needs and desires of the group. Duration of workshop(s) may also be tailored to group's requirements.) Classes include:

Grounding and Centering: using awareness, breath, posture and visualization to help us gain immediate as well as long-lasting stability in the face of inner and outer turbulence and adversity.

Clearing and Cleansing: using awareness, breath and visualization to scan our bodies for tension, and to release those tensions for greater ease, balance and healing.

Awareness Focus Centers: using perception, breath and visualization to focus on, balance and strengthen areas in our bodies where we concentrate different aspects of our awareness, including mental cognition, communication, emotions, will, and creativity.

Inner and Outer Interconnection: using awareness skills to visualize and experience the levels of organization that make up ourselves, the world and universe, giving us a better understanding as well as a direct experience of the interconnection of all things.

Sensory Awareness: techniques drawn from indigenous hunting skills to bring us into a more present, more vibrant awareness of our physical senses so that we may better utilize them to perceive the world around us.

Gratitude and Compassion: using a systematic method to direct thoughts of gratitude and feelings of compassion to ourselves, our relations and the world at large, helping us to remember, acknowledge and honor our interconnection and interdependence

Organ-System Awareness: using awareness, breath, visualization and movement to bring focused and healing awareness to our organs and systems, freeing restrictions and replenishing deficiencies in areas of our body that may be in need or that are in distress.

Power of Word: words and language shape our ideas of ourselves and the world, having positive and negative influence on our views and behavior. This workshop explores ways that we repress and sabotage ourselves, as well as simple awareness and language techniques that help transform these habitual programs into more positive, proactive behaviors.

Forgiveness and Compassion: introducing a technique to learn and directly experience how awareness, breath and thoughts can help us come to resolution and forgiveness over difficult obstacles within ourselves and towards other people.
