“Cultivating Clinical Herbalism” is a tailor-made program reserved for those advanced students who have successfully completed the Second Year Program, “Cultivating Community Herbalism.” [see Note]
Advanced students have the ability, the “raw materials,” to see and help clients. My role at this point becomes that of a mentor, one who helps guide and advise those who wish to further develop their skills as health-care practitioners.
At this point, education is self directed. Advanced students are expected to take the lead in their training. My job is to meet students where they are, assessing their level of commitment and responsibility; and to mentor them, helping to provide opportunities for further development and to assist students in the direction they wish to go. This entails personalized mentor-student relationship in the following areas:
[Note: I provide the same mentoring role for qualifying advanced students coming from other schools and programs contingent upon favorable recommendations, resume and interview].
TUITION
For advanced students, there is no longer tuition. Payment is personalized and depends on level and amount of my time and energy spent in a formal, mentoring capacity.
Additional courses and workshops in “Materia Medica,” “Herbal Preparations,” “Outdoor” experiences and other interests cost the same as that for general students. Visit Workshops for details.
